Security personnel investigating the lights claimed to observe a metallic object among the trees. Subsequent investigations documented ground impressions, damaged branches, elevated radiation readings, and additional sightings over several nights. Deputy Base Commander Lieutenant Colonel Charles Halt later conducted his own investigation and recorded audio during the event. The incident remains one of the most famous military UFO cases in history.
