On September 19, 1961, Betty and Barney Hill were driving home from a vacation in Canada when they observed an unusual object in the sky over New Hampshire. The couple reported becoming increasingly concerned as the object appeared to approach their vehicle. After arriving home, they realized portions of their journey seemed unaccounted for. Years later, under hypnosis, both described memories of being taken aboard a craft and examined by non-human beings. The case became one of the most influential and widely known alleged alien abduction reports in history.
