Ricky Sorrells

On January 8, 2008, Ricky Sorrells, a machinist and hunter in Dublin, Texas, reported seeing a massive, flat, metallic object hovering approximately 300 feet above his property, describing it as being the length of three or four football fields with cone-shaped indentations and no visible seams or bolts. Sorrells, who observed the craft through his rifle’s telescopic lens, stated it was silent and emitted mirage-like heat waves, leading him to believe it was larger than any known aircraft.

Following media attention, Sorrells claimed to be the target of military harassment, alleging that fighter jets and helicopters flew low over his home to disturb him and his livestock. He reported receiving a threatening phone call from an individual identifying himself as an Air Force Lt. Colonel, who warned Sorrells to stop speaking publicly about the sightings or face consequences involving superior firepower. Sorrells also described a mysterious man in a parka visiting his property and leaving behind a 15-06 Remington bullet, which he interpreted as a military warning.
