Marco Eli Chereze was a 23-year-old Brazilian Military Police Corporal who, according to witness accounts, captured an extraterrestrial creature with his bare hands in Varginha, Brazil, on January 20, 1996. Chereze reportedly developed a mysterious, rapidly progressing infection shortly after the encounter, characterized by a greasy residue on his skin and a persistent ammonia odor. He was hospitalized on February 12, 1996, and died three days later from sepsis and pneumonia.
