Christopher Garner

Christopher Garner, a 29-year-old motorist from Luton, corroborated the 1967 Devon Flying Cross UFO incident after being woken by police officers near Okehampton, Devon. On the night of October 24, 1967, officers Roger Willey and Clifford Waycott chased a silent, cross-shaped object for approximately 14 miles at speeds up to 90 mph before stopping at a lay-by to ask Garner if he had seen it.

Garner confirmed he had witnessed the "strange light" and described the experience as feeling like a nightmare.
His independent testimony from a different location strengthened the credibility of the officers' account, which remained unexplained by the Ministry of Defence.
The incident is notable for being one of the few British UFO cases with named police witnesses and contemporary television footage.
