The Haines-Guénette Report, titled "Details Surrounding a Large Stationary Object Above Montreal," was published in 1992 by UFO researcher Bernard Guénette and former NASA scientist Richard Foster Haines.
The report analyzes the November 7, 1990 sighting of a massive luminous object above Place Bonaventure in Montreal, concluding that the lights originated from a solid physical object approximately 540 meters wide.
The investigators dismissed optical illusions, such as reflections on clouds, stating the "evidence for the existence of a highly unusual, hovering, silent large object is indisputable." Despite identifying the object's scale and behavior, the report failed to determine its origin or identity, leaving the phenomenon officially unidentified
